How to Schedule an iMessage - on iPhone, and at Business Scale

Can you schedule an iMessage? Yes - two ways. For personal use, iPhone has a built-in Send Later option (iOS 18+): tap "+" next to the text field → Send Later → pick a time. How to Schedule an iMessage on iPhone (iOS 18+)
Step 1: Open Messages and the conversation you want.
Step 2: Type your message, then tap the "+" button to the left of the text field.
Step 3: Choose Send Later.
Step 4: Pick the date and time, then tap the send arrow. The message shows in the thread with its scheduled time, and you can edit or cancel it before it goes.
Two limits worth knowing: Send Later is per-message and per-conversation (there's no bulk or recurring option), and it arrived with iOS 18 - older iPhones don't have it natively.

Send Later is built for "text mum at 9am." It doesn't help when the job is "follow up with every lead 10 minutes after they submit the form, then again on day 3." That needs three things Apple doesn't offer: a business line, automation triggers, and CRM context.
